I honestly cannot fathom that it has been 2 years since our little baby was placed on my chest at 0800 in the morning Jan. 28th, after 17 hours of induction.
So much has happened in these past two years. Our little H has moved a total of 3 times, including one international move. He has now spent time on 3 different continents, 5 different countries and at least 7 States. He is a pretty flexible toddler and a great traveler.
Our H is a lover of food, dogs and people. He will say hi and bye to anyone or anything. He loves the Africans and is more than willing to be held or loved on by anyone he comes in contact with. He is so smart and has excellent speech and vocabulary. Some of our favorite things he says are, "mana" for monkey, he says "bless you" when someone sneezes, and "wub u" for I love you. He sometimes is willing to pray for our meals and will say, "God, food, 'men!"
He loves bath time and amazingly loves bed/nap time. He is more than happy to go and lay down when we tell him it's "night-night time." He is normally so hot so we just leave him in just his diaper around the house. So now whenever we actually put clothes on him he thinks he is going, "bye-bye!" This may be a parenting fail on our part that he only associates clothes with leaving the house but hey, at least he knows when he leaves the house he has to have clothes on!
He loves his baby brother and refers to him as baby or Gray-see. He has taken on really well to the role of big brother. Amazingly he is really gentle with Grayson. It's surprising because with anyone else he is trying to body slam or head butt when he plays (we are working on the meaning of "gentle" with him!).
Overall, we are so proud of our big boy who loves to read, play with sticks and get into everything! He surprises us all the time with the things he knows or understands. We are so excited to see what this next year of life will bring!
